Summary: Comic melodrama in which an animal plays the
role usually reserved for the hero. Gajendra the
elephant witnesses the murder of its master
(Gummadi), a retired forest officer, and is later
won by Rajendra (Prasad) in a lottery. Gajendra
tracks down the killers and rounds up some
thugs, in the process finding its new master a
business, and is also instrumental in Rajendra
finding a girlfriend, Alaka (Soundarya). The
film continues Reddy’s distinctive style of the
fantasy melodrama with a moral message,
invoking a genre associated with the AVM
studio.
