Summary: Rani (Sandhya) comes from a very poor, who have to struggle to make ends meet. She wants a career where she can work, but her parents will not hear of it. But when their temple collapses in a storm, the parents are forced to admit that they need money to repair the temple, and as such Rani gets to act on stage. The owner of the stage company promises to re-store the temple, provided Rani continues to work for him, which she agrees. The temple work progresses, and Rani acts on stage. She soon becomes a hit. The stage owner starts showing his true colours, and before long he takes to drinking, even while on stage, and when Rani refuses to have to do anything with him, he refuses to pay for the temple re-storation. How will Rani succeed on stage? What will happen to the temple?
