Both Ila and Sanjay fall in love and with Mamta's approval decide to first get engaged and then married. Before that could happen, Ila finds out that Sanjay has been having an affair with a movie writer, Deepa Sahni, and decides not to have to do anything with him. Sanjay is humiliated and swears to avenge this. Shortly thereafter Ila, who cannot swim, is found dead on the seashore. Veer arrests Sanjay, but Sanjay manages to escape and shortly thereafter Deepa; then Shilpa, a friend of Ila; Rahul, villain in the movie, and Veer Singh himself are killed.
