An increase in population migration of villages to the cities and the transfer
of population at the time of partition has aggravated the problem of housing.
Houses had to be constructed to house the homeless. This short film presents
an interesting coverage of the International Exhibition on Low Cost Housing
organised in Delhi in 1954. Excluding the price of land none of the houses
costs more than Rs. 5,000.
