Summary: This film is a brief biographical story of the prominent actor, writer political activist and above all a humanist - Balraj Sahni (1913-1973). Sahni was born on May 1, 1973 at Rawalpindi (now in Pakistan). He joined BBC (London) in 1940 but resigned his job and returned to the United India in 1944. Equipped with a Masters Degree in English Literature, he had a stint as a teacher at Santiniketan. Sahni led a turbulent life as an artist. From earlier Gandhian influences he was later inspired by the Marxian thought. He joined the Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA) which aimed at bringing about a cultural renaissance. Sahni has acted in innumerable plays and films.
