Summary: This News Magazine highlights the activities of the Indian Institute of Education at Pune. It was founded by Prof. J. P. Naik. He conceived planned and started the Non-Formal Primary Education Project. Under this project primary education is imparted to children in villages of Pune District. The Institute has also taken up the Adult Education Project on Science and Technology for Rural Women. As its Director, Mrs. Chitra Naik reveals, the institute has carried out a detailed survey of 100 villages with a view to arouse local interest and understanding about education.
