Summary: As an outstanding agricultural country, India's cattle constitute a large portion of her national wealth, and the centuries have seen the evolution of many famous breeds. This picture is a record of the Annual Cattle Fair at Delhi where the finest heads of cattle from all over the country vie for awards. It affords glimpses of some of the best prize-stock raised in India and thus centres public interest on an important aspect of India's National Life. H. E. Lord Linlithgow, India's former Viceroy, was well known for his interest in cattle and cattle-breeding and is shown inspecting the prize-breeds which are the envy of other nations.
