Summary: This film is a camera-study of Shantiniketan, the `Abode of Peace', the school of international culture, established by Poet Rabindranath Tagore in 1901 at Bolpur, not far from Calcutta. This school which gradually came to be known as Vishva Bharati seeks to impart education in close communion with nature. The curriculum includes languages, sculpture, painting, embroidery, music, dancing and other fine arts which form an integral part of the training at Shantiniketan.
