Summary: November 4, 1987. Expedition Vayudhara of the Indian Air Force is flagged
off at Manali. The planned route covers a distance of 270 km on the river -
starting point Manali at a height of 1926 metres and finishing point, Pong
Dam at 427 metres, A 20-day adventure that will put the strength and skill of
the canoeists to the test in the most severe conditions. The film details their
every struggle and excitement, while providing hints about how to take up
this adventure. The Chief Instructor of Water Sports, Himachal Pradesh
shows how to take it at a rapid. The film shows the action in slow motion.
The run is undertaken by a team of four, in relays, with other members of the
team co-ordinating the action as helpers, signallers and rescuers.
