Summary: A film briefly narrating India's sports history. Indian players mastered
hockey and India became the world's leading hockey nation. In the 1928
Olympics at Amsterdam, India won its first gold medal in hockey. In the
1952, Helsinki Olympics India participated in hockey, football and wrestling,
and won medals. India won the Asian Games football finals in 1951 and
1962. In polo too, India produced excellent players. India's Dilip Bose was
the first Asian tennis champion. There is more interesting information on
India's achievements in various other sports, including badminton,
mountaineering, channel swimming and table tennis, in this film.
