Summary: In Delhi, over 700,000 people lived in jhuggis or slums. As the film says,
under the guidance of the Youth Congress leader late Sanjay Gandhi, Delhi
Administration decided to shift these people to new colonies around Delhi.
Establishing resettlement colonies was a result of co-ordinated efforts of all
departments of Delhi Administration including Delhi Development
Authority, the Corporation Transport & Industries Departments under the
overall supervision of the Lt. Governor. Under the 20-point programme
many banks gave loans to the people for resettlement. This film shows in
detail various resettlement measures introduced in Delhi.
