Summary: The film traces a journey of a grandmother and her grand daughter told through the intricate Phul-kari ( flower-craft ) embroidery that's she begins stitching from the time her granddaughter is born to her wedding day and eternally..Each stitch and motif painstakingly formed on the cloth has a symbolic meaning from the blush of youth to love to casting off the evil eye to fertility to open ended dreams...and carries deep emotions with each passing day.'Phil-kari' is a 15 minute short told through a poetic musical narrative and traditional folk music and original compositions...This Phul-kari is a tradition cherished by the people of Punjab ( in North India ) that weaves together hopes..aspirations..and a future full of happiness and blessings from one generation to another...
