Summary: Basheer is a lac artist living on the fringes of tradition and modernity, reminiscing about a lost past where he was recognized for his craft. Now, modernity takes hold of his craft and leaves him in oblivion. Will the craft survive? Will he be recognized for this ancestral skill, that dates back to the Mahabharata in history, almost 25000 years ago? Will his children learn the craft and not pursue the route of contemporary workforce, leaving behind a legacy of creativity that produced art utilized in the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema? While these themes remain to be explored in a larger format, this one minute film gives a peak into the Lac Master's life.
