Summary: The incredible journey of Sheetal Devi, the world's first armless female archer, serves as a testament to the power of stories, the celebration of the human spirit, and the true meaning of empowerment. Sheetal was born without arms in a remote village nestled in Jammu and Kashmir. Growing up, she had limited exposure to the world outside her village. Despite her physical limitations, she held on to a dream of becoming a teacher, believing that prosthetic arms would assist her in her daily life. Recognising Sheetal's immense potential, we, at Being You, were deeply inspired by her resilience and drive. We assessed her for her core strength, introduced her to relatable role models from our book, and rallied behind her, joining forces with individuals who shared our unwavering belief in her extraordinary abilities. Today, at the age of 17, Sheetal not only soars high with her newfound dream, but she also supports her entire family.
