Director: Amitava Halder
Summary: People on Earth are now used to rootless floating societies. They have, hardly confidence about organized society, social bonding and social relationships. Everyone is like an isolated island. And strangely, the exact opposite picture, we find in India's primitive tribe of Santal society. They are still socially and culturally bound. It is like an oasis built in the desert of a lifeless modern society. The reflection of this simple social system of Santals is found in their marriage customs. Where women's respect, rights and primacy of their spontaneous desires manifest in primitive equality. In the real sense they are independent in their social system. Swayambara We are just trying to present this oldest and unique modern practice of the world in the form of a screenplay, in front of a lonely and isolated sociable world.
