Summary: Narrated through two timelines- this psychological drama tells us how truth, like water, finds its way out. The film brings to the forefront- a plethora of questions regarding human behaviour, especially ethics and survival instincts. Set during the rains in Goa, Joaquim is relaxing in his balcao (balcony) on the day of San Joao's feast. When it starts pouring, he notices bubbles in the stream formed by the falling rain. He has a self-assured, sinister smile. His wife sees this and jokingly asks him, if he is remembering his old girlfriend, to which he dismisses her saying, "It's nothing" and that she is becoming mad. During the day, the thought lingers in his mind. He is pensive yet smiles as he recalls the harrowing incident which occurred during his teens. It's while he is lying on his bed before going to sleep, he once again hears the raindrops hitting his tiled roof, and he smiles to himself. Seeing him smile, his wife Olga gets curious, and she forces him to reveal what is in his mind. Left with no choice, the septuagenarian tells her the secret he had buried six decades ago in the recesses of his mind. He also reveals how he fought his demons to survive his guilt and tries to justify his action. Olga is not only taken aback upon hearing her husband's dark revelation but is also shocked by his attitude. Unable to contain herself, she prays the whole night, requesting the lord to have mercy on them and give her strength. In the end, the audience is left wondering if this revelation will alter the relationship between the husband and the wife. END
