Summary: The human brain is believed to have a finite capacity for active memory storage. As new information is acquired, it can potentially replace existing memories. However, rather than being erased, these prior memories are temporarily relegated to the subconscious realm, remaining available below the conscious level. Encountering new individuals and immersing ourselves in unfamiliar environments can aid in diverting our attention from painful memories. Yet, these suppressed recollections have the potential to resurface in our conscious thoughts. This reawakening can be prompted by familiar sounds or visual cues linked to the previous memory, residing within the enigmatic depths of our subconscious mind.
