Summary: Indrani is a brilliant student who studies in Calcutta. One day she meets Sudarshan, they fell in love and decided to get married against her parents wishes and Sudarshan's warning that he won't be able to provide for her. Indrani gets a job after college as school teacher but Sudarshan remains unemployed. Things get complicated when he can't find a job and starts suffering from loneliness and depression. He leaves Indrani and starts living in a village away from her. A village social worker helps him find work by helping the village water system. News about his work soon gets published in a newspaper and Indrani notices it and rushes back to the village to find him. She apologizes and the two soon get back together.
