Summary: : A spectacular historical costume drama, 'Sikandar-e-Azam' depicts an interesting chapter in Indian history when the country put up a valorous resistence against the invasion of Alexander of Macedonia. The first part of the film concetrates on the story of Alexander , who born to king Philip of macedonia sets out to fulfil his mother's dram of becoming a world conqueror. However he falls in love with a beautiful slave girl, Scythia, but the queen mother, fearing the relationship would come in the way of her dream of world conquest, entreats Scythia to stay out of Alexander's life till he fulfils her wish. After his father's untimely death, Alexander becomes king, and with an army of brave soldiers, sets out to conquor the world. Scythia too joins his army in the guise of s dolvirt. Alexander first conquers Persia and then enters India. Here the invincible Greek army is met with stiff resistence from the army of the ruler of the jhetum valley, Porus. Porus invites all the Indian princes to join him in driving the invader away, but gets little response in the beginning. He however sends his own army to check Alexander. The army is commanded by the king's eldest son, Kirat, who succeeds in cutting off the enemy's approach into the country, by destroying the bridge built on the river jhelum. On the battlefield, Kirat comes across Scythia, who poses as a stranded Greek girl. Kirat treats her with kindness and brings her back home with him. Porus too treats the girl with great affection and allows her to live in the palace
