Summary: A successful Hindi remake of Chanakya’s equally successful Telugu Ramudu Bheemudu (1964, with NTR) and Tamil Enga Veetu Pillai (1965, with MGR). In a double role Dilip Kumar plays twins separated at birth who grow up to become the timid Ram, who is terrified of villain Gajendra (Pran), and the boisterous Shyam. They are mistaken for each other, even by their respective girlfriends Anjana (Rehman) and Shanta (Mumtaz).
