Summary: A big Gujarati hit in Eastmancolor renovating the tradition of the adventure folk-tale. It adapts a famous Kutchhi legend (first filmed, with great success, by Chaturbhuji Doshi in 1948) featuring the dreaded bandit Jesal (U. Trivedi) and the devout god-woman Toral (Anupama) who reforms him. Director Dave’s Gujarati debut sees the star Upendra Trivedi in one of his best-known performances.
