Summary: A widower king (Asit), in drinks and dance after death of his wife, buys an harmonium for his only daughter. Soon he too joins his wife, and then the estate is swindled and bought by their estate manager. The princess (Arundhati) by then had become a widow and is back at her home. The property is taken by manager, but furniture are auctioned. The penniless princess is practically on streets (unless she accepted the proposal of the manager's son). The harmonium changed hands and wherever it went it created tragic circumstances resulting in its re-disposal. At first home it became catalyst of the meeting of the girl (Sonali) with an unwanted (by parents of both sides) boy (Kumar Roy) and elopement; or at a brothel it was the reason of bloodshed and even death. What happened to the princess and could they meet again? If they did under what circumstances?
