Summary: Utpal Dutt lives in a joint family with his two sons. The eldest son is married. The younger son is looking for a groom. The strict principles of Utpal Dutt rule the house. None of the sons dare to go against them. The younger son marries and brings in his wife. Problems start arising when Utpal Dutt's mother arrives from the village with her own set of archaic rules.
