Memories of a Father -Eachara Warrier--English

T.V. Eachara Warrier English version of famous memoir Oru Achante Ormakal / Memories of a Father (Trans. Neelan, published by Asian Human Rights Commission and Jananeethi, 2004). Shaji N Karun's Piravi (1988) is supposed to be based on the torture-killing of a student-activist named Rajan by the Kerala police during the Emergency, and Eachara Warrier is Rajan's father. Also translator Neelan, a well-known film critic, is the son of Premji who played the role of Raghava Chakiyar (‘Eachara Warrier’) in Piravi.
